Brama Stage Run

From October 17 to 19, Ribes de Freser will host the Brama Stage Run 2025, a stage race that will allow you to experience the high mountains at their best. Designed with three different distances, the race adapts to all levels to make you enjoy the best of the Eastern Pyrenees. The routes: The first stage, starting in Ribes de Freser, runs through the impressive Serra de Montgrony. The second stage begins in Vall de Núria and continues through the Gorges del Freser (Parc Natural de les Capçaleres del Ter i del Freser). Finally, the last stage will take you to discover the Serra Cavallera. All stages end in Ribes de Freser, where dinner and a briefing will take place after the first and second stages. For two days, technical training sessions were held at the Espai Provença of Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) in Barcelona, with the aim of improving active and passive safety on training slopes. These face-to-face sessions were the first phase of a training plan that had more than 60 registered participants and that will have two more actions: an online training and, to conclude, an additional practice in the snow at one of the FGC ski resorts.

The power has been increased to 840 kWt, which will allow for a saving of 200,000 liters of diesel per year and stop emitting 550 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere each year. Ferrocarrils is also completing the work to improve the energy efficiency of the buildings, which will mean a saving of 78% of the energy for heating. Vall de Núria celebrates the festival of Sant Gil, patron saint of shepherds, with religious, recreational and gastronomic activities.

The favourites came out on top in the Elite category: Austria's Andreas Kolb and Switzerland's Lisa Baumann. Spain's Castellanos achieved a very promising result ahead of Sunday's final, finishing in 2nd place, just 4 hundredths of a second behind Kolb. There was a great atmosphere in the finish area with food trucks, a pump track, a village and an afternoon of activities open to the public with live music and a tribute to the most veteran Catalan riders.
