Today, Wednesday 9, the ISMF European Championships Skimo Boí Taüll 2022 have started, and they have done so with the Sprint competition.
The Spanish team has obtained a total of six medals (three from Catalan athletes), where the first place of Oriol Cardona stands out, who has shown his great form.
All categories have contested the race on the same track, except for the senior men's category which has a longer route. The test has started with a first section of ascent with two diamonds.
Next, they have had to remove skins and continue with the skis loaded on their backs. After completing the transition section, the participants have descended until they cross the finish line.
Tomorrow, Thursday, February 10, the vertical competition will take place, starting at the 2020 level and reaching Coll de Roies, at 2,540 m. The participants will have to overcome a positive slope of 540 m in a circuit that takes full advantage of the layout of the resort's ski slopes.
