FGC Turisme, a division of the Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC), has as its mission the management and promotion of various tourist destinations that are deployed throughout the Catalan territory
FGC Turisme offers all those families and groups of friends who want to explore the mountain in a healthy way a series of unique experiences with its tourist subdivisions through 6 mountain resorts, 5 tourist trains and the Parc Astronòmic del Montsec.
As for the mountain resorts, in the Eastern Pyrenees are the destinations of La Molina, Vall de Núria and Vallter 2000, in the counties of La Cerdanya, Berguedà and Ripollès. The stations of Port Ainé and Espot are located in Pallars Sobirà and Boí Taüll in Alta Ribagorça.
On the way, visitors will find three jewels of the railway history of Catalonia: the Tren del Ciment, in the Alt Llobregat, which covers the route that historically linked the Asland cement factory in Castellar de n'Hug with Guardiola de Berguedà in a 3.5 km route.
The Montserrat rack railway and funiculars, in the Baix Llobregat region, which take users to one of the most emblematic areas of Catalonia, such as the Montserrat Mountains Natural Park through historic facilities.
The Tren dels Llacs, which passes through the counties of Segrià, La Noguera and El Pallars and connects the city of Lleida with La Pobla de Segur by a single track on a route between reservoirs and mountain ranges such as Montsec.
FGC Turisme is also in charge of the management of the historic Gelida Funicular, in the Alt Penedès region, which connects the town center of the town of Gelida with the train station since 1924.
Also in the county of La Noguera is the Montsec Astronomical Park located in the municipality of Àger, in an area that is considered one of the best in Catalonia for astronomical observation and that becomes a state reference center for the dissemination of astronomy.
