Serra, who has been manager of the Ripoll resort for 18 years, is fully integrated into the Business and Strategy department of FGC Turisme to promote the transversal work of this department across all Ferrocarrils tourist operations.
Torres, who has been linked to Vallter for more than 15 years, will be the first woman to manage a ski resort in the Spanish Pyrenees.
The Vallter ski and mountain resort, owned by Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC), has a new management team as of today. Patrícia Torres Hostench replaces Enric Serra Teixidó at the helm of the Ripolla resort. Serra, who has been manager of Vallter for 18 years and who has combined this responsibility with that of director of Business and Strategy of FGC Turisme since 2024, is now leaving the management team with the aim of promoting and consolidating the cross-functional work that this management does across all of FGC Turisme's operations: the six ski and mountain resorts, the eight tourist transports and the Parc Astronòmic del Montsec.
Torres, with extensive experience in the tourism and snow sector, has been working at Vallter for over 15 years. She was currently the head of administration and managed all areas of the resort together with the manager and the head of operations. Torres becomes the first woman to direct a ski and mountain resort in the Spanish Pyrenees.
