The mountain station of Vall de Núria, of Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC), becomes an ideal destination in summer for outdoor activities, sports and nature. The experience of traveling on the emblematic Rack Railway is complemented by a wide range of activities designed for the whole family in an exceptional natural environment during the 365 days of the year.

One of the first activities that will be offered will be the Sant Joan festival with a unique experience with traditional elements such as the classic bonfire, dancing and coca. Torches will be lit from the Creu d'en Riba viewpoint to go down to the lake and light what will probably be the only floating bonfire in the Pyrenees.

In addition, Vall de Núria is preparing to host, on Sunday 29 June, the traditional Diada de Sant Pere, a festival that, according to tradition, marks the beginning of the grazing season in the valley. This day, full of symbolism and cultural roots, is a significant moment for the life of the mountain and its traditions.

The central point of the celebration will be the mass of Saint Peter and the blessing of the bread, porridge and pastures, an emotional event that will take place in the Núria meadow, weather conditions permitting. This ceremony invites everyone to participate in an act of deep connection with the earth and its natural cycles, while enjoying the incomparable environment of Vall de Núria.

1. Solemn Mass
2. Procession to the lake singing the Joys of Saint Peter
3. Blessing of the pastures, the Farinetas and the Panets
4. Distribution of food to the pilgrims

Outstanding activities and services

In addition to these events, the resort offers a wide range of activities, among which the following stand out:

1. Leisure Park: One of the proposals of great attraction for the little ones and families is a space designed to guarantee fun for everyone. Its emblematic lake becomes the perfect setting to enjoy the surroundings, where you can rent boats and canoes to row calmly through its waters.
   
   
2. MGM Cars: For a truly unique experience, from June 21st Vall de Núria is offering an exclusive trip with the emblematic MGB cars. These vintage Swiss cars, built in 1963 and which used to take travellers to Zermatt, provide a "vintage" and memorable way to get to the valley. This activity, which will take place every Saturday and Sunday until September 13, includes exclusive treatment and the accompaniment of a guide, making the journey an unforgettable experience.
   
   
3. Stargazing sessions: For sky enthusiasts, Vall de Núria offers stargazing sessions run by the Montsec Astronomical Park. The activity is divided into two parts: first, an introduction to recognizing the sky with the naked eye, identifying constellations and stars. Then, we move on to the detailed observation of prominent celestial objects with a telescope, such as planets, stars and more distant objects. It therefore offers a unique opportunity to discover the secrets of the universe under an extraordinary night sky.
   
   
4. Gastronomy: Vall de Núria offers a firm commitment to quality and proximity. All the restaurants prioritize the use of zero-kilometer products, highlighting excellent local resources. In both the Hotel restaurant and the Cabana dels Pastors, the Bar Finestrelles and the Racó de la Vall, visitors will find proposals made with local ingredients, designed to satisfy the most demanding palates and offer an authentic culinary experience in the middle of an incomparable natural environment.
