The Hotel de Vall de Núria will become the world epicenter of Rubik's Cube solving, with the participation of specialists from five nationalities.
The event, with results valid for rankings and world records, will be free for the public.
The Vall de Núria mountain resort, managed by Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC), is preparing to experience an exciting weekend with the celebration of an official Speedcubing competition of the World Cube Association (WCA). This event, which takes place tomorrow and Sunday, will bring together a total of 25 participants, accompanied by 20 people and 4 members of the organization, making the valley the meeting point for the best specialists in solving the famous Rubik's Cube in various modalities, from the classic 3x3x3 cube to more advanced challenges such as the 7x7x7 cube, in the fewest number of moves.
The competition, which will take place at the Hotel de Vall de Núria, will be attended by an official delegate of the WCA, who will be in charge of certifying the results at a global level. This means that the marks achieved during the event will be official and will be valid for all existing rankings and records in the world of Speedcubing.
The interest in this event is high, as demonstrated by the presence of competitors from up to five different nationalities: Spain, Hungary, Ukraine, Peru and Mexico, some of whom will travel expressly from long distances to participate in this competition.
One of the best news for fans and curious people is that access to the competition will be completely free. Space and chairs will be provided for the public who want to witness the skill and speed of these experts in solving Rubik's cubes live.
