The Alta Ribagorça resort, owned by Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat, has already been awarded three times and is once again aiming for international recognition that rewards excellence in snow tourism.

Its snow quality, high altitudes and commitment to innovation and seasonality reaffirm its leadership position.

Boí Taüll, a mountain resort managed by Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC), has been nominated again in the category of best state ski resort of the year 2025 by the renowned World Ski Awards. This distinction, which is promoted annually by the international organization World Travel Awards, rewards excellence in the snow tourism sector at a global level.

This year's nomination reinforces Boí Taüll's position as a benchmark in the mountain resort panorama, a successful trajectory that has already earned it the award for best state resort on three previous occasions: in 2018, 2019 and 2020. The resort's management emphasizes that this continuous recognition is the result of the intense work of the entire Boí Taüll team.

The award-winning resorts are chosen through an online popular vote, open to ski enthusiasts and tourism professionals, with voting open until October 10.

Boí Taüll stands out as one of the most complete and attractive ski and mountain resorts in the Pyrenees, not only for its excellence in snow but also for a diversified offer that attracts skiers of all levels. Its main strength lies in its highest elevations in the Pyrenees (maximum elevation of 2,751 m and minimum of 2,035 m), which provide it with a quality and quantity of snow that is usually exceptional thanks to its location and orientation. The resort has a skiable area of 550 hectares, with more than 45 kilometers of trails distributed over 43 ski slopes, 4 ski mountaineering itineraries, a snowpark to enjoy freestyle at all levels and an exclusive sledding track, in addition to excellent freeride and off-piste areas.

In addition, the Ribagorça resort is an example of a tourist facility committed to inclusion with the incorporation in winter 2024 of an inclusive fixed-work changing room, a space designed for the elderly, with functional diversity or reduced mobility, which offers specific hygiene equipment and a comfortable environment for companions.

The commitment to innovation and deseasonalization is another of its pillars. Boí Taüll has incorporated automatic access systems with Check-in machines for ski pass collection and a mobile ordering system for catering, eliminating queues and improving the experience. In its commitment to the mountain 365 days a year, this summer season 2025 has inaugurated a first 200-meter stretch of a zip line with double cable that will be completed with the second 1,000-meter stretch. Another step in the diversification of activities.

The proximity to the Aigüestortes and Estany de Sant Maurici National Park and the rich Romanesque heritage of the Vall de Boí, a World Heritage Site, make the resort a unique place. The family atmosphere and the close treatment of the resort's team complete an experience that goes beyond skiing.
