Turisme i Muntanya, a Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) division, has the mission to promote and manage the mountain tourist destinations which are located throughout Catalonia:
At the eastern Pyrenees, with several destinations such as La Molina, Vall de Núria and Vallter 2000. Port Ainé and Espot destinations are in Pallars Sobirà. Moreover, there are also some other places, so characteristics of the Catalan culture and landscape, as the magical mountain: Montserrat.
Along the way, visitors find two symbols of the history in Catalonia: the Tren del Ciment, in Alt Llobregat, which goes through the route that joined the Asland cement factory in Castellar de n'Hug with Guardiola (Berguedà). It covers a distance of 3.5 km and it stops at 4 stations: Pobla de Lillet, Pobla Centre, Jardis Artigas, designed by Antoni Guadí, and the Cement Museum in Casgtellar d'n Hug, located in a spectacular modernist building.
Another important truistic train is the Tren dels Llacs, which goes from Lleida - Pirineus, in Lleida, with La Pobla de Segur. The track runs along the right side of the river called Segre, from Lleida to Balaguer.
