Note of condolence for the death of Lluís Breitfuss

Yesterday afternoon our friend and colleague Lluís Breitfuss left us. Linked to FGC Turisme since 2004, where he led the organization of sports events and competitions, he was a great lover of sport, skiing, competition, his friends and colleagues, the his family and life. From a young age, and following the legacy of his father Hans, he spent his days training in La Molina and when he was older he became a coach and reference for hundreds of children from different corners of the world, whom he brought to learn skiing at La Molina.

Lluís was a leader wherever he got involved. A good example was the first Alpine Skiing World Cup held in the Pyrenees in 2008, which he led, as he did with the first Snowboard World Championships in 2011 or the first Paraski World Championsheps in 2013. All of them celebrated in his beloved La Molina.

Since then, all national and international races were driven by him. Like the great pioneer that he was, he bet strongly on summer and winter competitions, he was the forerunner of the La Molina Bikepark, he organized the races that take place when there is no more snow on the mountains. Because Lluís was a great lover of sport, passionate about nature, the mountains and skiing. And a fighter, showing great courage and great integrity until the end of his days.

From Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat, we offer our condolences to Juliette, Hans and Thomas, and join in the sentiments of all those who love him and who will always keep a great memory of him. Rest in peace, Luis.
